Social Media Fundraising Campaign Raises £2000 for Charity Supporting Infertility

Auxogyn presents Cheque to Infertility Network UK

UK, 4th August 2014 – Auxogyn, a leader in women’s reproductive health and the developer of the Eeva Test, a test clinically proven to assess embryos with the highest development potential for transfer, presented a cheque for £2000 to Infertility Network UK (I N UK), a patient charity solely devoted to help people who are struggling to conceive, following its successful social media fundraising campaign #BSOCIAL4INUKheld during May and June of this year.

The first-of-its-kind ‘Be Social’ campaign used the power of social media to build awareness of infertility issues and raise money for I N UK. A donation of £1 was made to I N UK for every ‘Like’ on Facebook or ‘Follow’ on Twitter of the fertility clinics in the UK offering the Eeva™ Test.

On behalf of Auxogyn, Douglas Gibbs, Head of Fertility in the UK and Ireland for Merck Serono, the biopharmaceutical division of Merck, Darmstadt, Germany and the exclusive commercial partner of the Eeva Test in Europe, presented Susan Seenan, Chief Executive of I N UK, with the £2000 cheque. The funds will be used to help support the important work carried out by the charity for patients suffering from fertility issues.

Susan Seenan, chief executive of I N UK, said: ”At Infertility Network we are devoted to help, support and provide information to people who are struggling to conceive. We are very grateful for this donation from the company that developed the Eeva Test, and I would personally like to thank everyone involved in supporting I N UK. The money raised will help fund specialist information and support for people facing the harsh reality of infertility.”

Lissa Goldenstein, President and CEO of Auxogyn, said: “The BSOCIAL4INUK was a successful campaign due to the support provided by our fertility clinic partners, the IVF community that “liked” and “friended” our clinics, and INUK’s tremendous work in the infertility community”.

“With the first of its kind “Be Social” campaign we wanted to give patients an opportunity to read and also share their stories with others, providing and receiving support and information on infertility. We hope patients will continue to engage and be a voice on social media,” Lissa Goldenstein added.

About the Early Embryo Viability Assessment (Eeva) Test

Auxogyn’s Eeva System is the first and only non-invasive device that the FDA has cleared to date to aid in embryo selection. The Eeva Test is scientifically derived and clinically validated to identify embryos with the greatest development potential when used adjunctively to traditional morphology in women with multiple embryos deemed appropriate for transfer or freezing. Utilizing proprietary software and sophisticated computer vision technology, the Eeva Test automatically analyzes embryo development against scientifically and clinically validated cell-division timing parameters. With Eeva’s quantitative data on each embryo’s potential development, IVF clinicians can optimize the treatment path for their patients undergoing IVF procedures. Auxogyn received FDA clearance for the Eeva System in June, 2014. The Eeva System also received the CE mark in July 2012, and it is currently available for use in selected countries in the EU and Canada.
