Position Summary
We are seeking an outstanding professional for the position of Senior Computer Vision Scientist. Located on the mid-peninsula, we are developing revolutionary imaging-based technologies in the areas of reproductive health and applied stem cell science. We are seeking an exceptional Computer Vision Scientist to join our innovative team of engineers and scientists. This is a unique opportunity to develop and launch ground breaking technology.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with our image analysis / computer vision group to develop software for automated cell tracking and modeling
- Research, implement and validate algorithms related to segmentation, shape modeling, robust tracking, probabilistic and graph based methods for image understanding and inference
- Work with the software team to facilitate the transfer of algorithms from prototype to product
- Work closely with a team of engineers, life scientists, and clinicians in brainstorming and development of new technologies and intellectual property.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate must have many of the following professional experiences:
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science with a minimum 3 – 5 years related experience.
- Demonstrated experience in computer vision; preferably with application in medical or life sciences.
- Knowledge of vision fundamentals, such as segmentation, tracking, shape modeling, probabilistic inference, and image understanding.
- Experience in object-oriented design and C++; experience with source control and bug tracking systems.
- Familiar with Open CV and Matlab.
- Exceptional interpersonal / written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a highly-collaborative, fast-paced, team-based environment.
