Employment Computer Vision Scientist

Auxogyn, Inc. is a privately held medical technology company focused on advancing women’s reproductive health by applying its novel scientific and clinical knowledge of early human developmental biology to the field of assisted reproduction and in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures. Auxogyn’s first product in development combines a proprietary computational algorithm with developmental biology imaging capabilities to assess early embryo viability at the four-cell stage of development by identifying embryos that have the possibility of developing into a blastocyst. Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with our computer vision group to develop software for automated cell tracking and modeling
- Implement and validate algorithms related to segmentation, shape modeling, robust tracking, probabilistic and graph based methods for image understanding and inference
- Work closely with the software team to facilitate the transfer of algorithms from prototype to product
- Work with a team of engineers, life scientists, and clinicians in brainstorming and development of new technologies and intellectual property
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science with a minimum 3-5 years related experience
- Demonstrated experience in computer vision; preferably with application in medical or life sciences
- Knowledge of vision fundamentals, such as segmentation, tracking, shape modeling, probabilistic inference, and scene understanding
- Experience in object-oriented design and C++; experienced with source control and bug tracking systems.
- Familiar with ITK, OpenCV and Matlab
- Exceptional interpersonal / written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a highly-collaborative, fast-paced, team-based environment
