The Company's flagship product, the Eeva™ Test, is designed to improve embryo selection by providing clinicians with objective information to more confidently select embryo(s) for transfer to help achieve better IVF outcomes. Eeva's proprietary software automatically analyses embryo development against scientifically and clinically validated cell-division parameters discovered by researchers at Stanford University, shown to be predictive of the embryo's developmental potential.

Eeva received CE mark in July 2012 and is currently available for use in the European Union. The Eeva Test is pending FDA clearance and is limited to investigational use only in the United States.

Auxogyn is privately held and funded by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Merck Serono Ventures, SR One and TPG Biotech.

Position Summary

This position can be based in a major metropolitan area on the West Coast, Midwest or East Coast.

The Clinical Applications Engineer, US is responsible for configuration and installation of Auxogyn’s product Eeva at customer sites. In addition, he/she is responsible for providing onsite service and onsite customer support. The position requires approximately 50% travel within US.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel to IVF clinics in US to do system installations and field service
  • Scope client sites prior to system installation to assure site has all necessary infrastructure for proper system installation and performance (i.e., complete pre-installation checklist, review incubator specifications, …)
  • System installation, service and support at both commercial and clinical trial sites
  • Collaborate with customer IT departments to integrate the products with local IT systems
  • Assist Clinical Embryologist Liaison in delivering training sessions (classroom/individual training) to potential and existing clients
  • Communicate user feedback to Product Management and R&D. Collaborate with these teams on product improvements and field service procedures
  • Efficiently and effectively utilize company CRM to maintain clear records related to installation, service, upgrades and replacements.
  • Support Commercial Sales efforts, as appropriate
  • Work with cross functional teams including, Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Customer Service, Clinical Embryology, Quality, Regulatory and Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

Education and/or Job Experience

  • BSc Engineering or qualified by experience
  • 3-5 years of experience with computer based medical devices or medical imaging systems in a clinical setting
  • 2 – 4 years Medical Device or InVitro Diagnostics field service experience
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a clinical setting in a timely and efficient manner
  • High proficiency in Microsoft software installation and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Proven ability to manage conflict to resolve to “win-win” solutions
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint to document and communicate concepts
  • Strong presentation experience and ability to train and convey technical concepts to Clinical/Medical Professional staff
  • Valid US driver’s license
